As a WordPress Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress sites, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience. You will work closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to bring our digital projects to life.
Key Responsibilities:
¿ Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and plugins.
¿ Collaborate with designers to translate design concepts into responsive WordPress themes.
¿ Ensure best practices in site structure, design, and coding.
¿ Optimize website performance, including managing load times and ensuring high performance across different devices and browsers.
¿ Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including security vulnerabilities and bugs.
¿ Implement SEO best practices to enhance website visibility and search engine rankings.
¿ Maintain documentation and assist in setting up user friendly content management processes.
¿ Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in WordPress development.
Requirements:
¿ Proven experience as a WordPress Engineer or similar role.
¿ Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
¿ Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
¿ Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile first development principles.
¿ Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
¿ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
¿ Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
¿ Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
¿ Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
¿ A portfolio showcasing previous WordPress projects is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
¿ Experience with front end JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
