About the Role

As a Senior Textile Designer , you will design and develop home textile collections across categories such as rugs, bedding, decorative pillows, and more. This hands-on role combines creativity, merchandising, and technical expertise, from initial concepts and buyer requests through CADs, tech packs, and sampling.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop original textile collections across multiple home categories.
• Create prints, patterns, graphics, CADs, and colorways.
• Develop product concepts and assortments based on retailer requests.
• Research market trends, color forecasts, and competitor assortments.
• Select appropriate fabrics, materials, constructions, and techniques for each design.
• Explore printing, weaving, embroidery, quilting, and other textile applications.
• Prepare detailed tech packs, product specifications, and production-ready artwork.
• Create technical layouts, repeats, and color separations.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandising, Sales, and Production teams.
• Communicate design specifications and revisions to international vendors.
• Review and approve samples for color, quality, scale, and design accuracy.
• Prepare design presentations, collections, and assortments for buyer meetings.
• Manage multiple design projects, priorities, and deadlines.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of work experience in Textile Design, Surface Design, Product Design, or related.
• Home textiles or home décor experience preferred, ideally in rugs, bedding, or decorative pillows; other relevant design backgrounds welcome.
• Strong creative and merchandising skills with an eye for color, pattern, materials, and commercial appeal.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, including CAD development.
• Experience preparing tech packs, technical specifications, and production-ready artwork.
• Knowledge of fabrics, constructions, printing, weaving, embroidery, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to translate buyer requests and design concepts into commercially viable products.
• Experience working with international vendors and reviewing development samples.
